Know what you hold, where it is and how it moves

Warehouses and shops depend on accurate stock and steady flow. LIOMO connects shelves, storage, docks and equipment to software that shows what is happening as it happens.

Illustrative interface · demo data. A warehouse floor plan with receiving, racking, picking, packing and dispatch zones. Items move along a conveyor between zones, two of four docks are active, and panels list open tasks and storage conditions.

Context

Stock is money standing still

In warehousing and retail, stock is both the product and the largest tied-up cost. Goods arrive, are stored, picked, moved between sites and sold, and every step is a chance for the record and the shelf to disagree. Counting cycles, manual scans and spreadsheets keep the picture roughly right, but rarely current.

The space itself also has to be run: chilled and frozen storage held within limits, docks and doors managed, equipment kept working and energy kept in check. Many operations run several sites with a different system in each, which makes a single view of stock and conditions hard to achieve.

Challenges

What makes it hard

  • 01

    Stock records drift

Manual counts and scans fall behind real movements, leading to stock-outs, overstock and time spent searching.

  • 02

    Labour-heavy flows

Receiving, picking and dispatch rely on people walking, checking and re-keying data.

  • 03

    Storage conditions

Chilled, frozen and sensitive goods need conditions held and recorded, often across several rooms and sites.

  • 04

    Disconnected systems

Warehouse, point-of-sale and ERP systems each hold part of the picture, with little live data from the floor.

Applications

How LIOMO applies

Smart Inventory and Warehouse Automation are delivered as projects designed around your sites, your stock and the systems you already run. Deliveries can be followed on LIOMO Fleet.
  • Smart Inventory

    Live stock visibility

Depending on the goods and the site, a LIOMO project can use RFID, barcode scanning, weight or shelf sensors to keep stock levels current, with alerts for low stock and movements that do not match the record.

  • Warehouse Automation

    Receiving, picking and dispatch

We typically start by mapping the flow of goods, then connect docks, doors, conveyors and handling equipment to software that directs work and records each step, adding automation where it removes repeated manual handling.

  • IoT Solutions

    Monitored storage

Cold rooms, freezers and display cabinets can be fitted with temperature, humidity and door sensors, giving a continuous record and alerts when limits are breached.

  • Fleet Management

    Deliveries and replenishment

On LIOMO Fleet, delivery vehicles are followed from dock to shop, with geofences at each site and temperature alerts for chilled loads.

  • Custom Software & Engineering

    Connected business systems

A LIOMO project can include integration with warehouse, point-of-sale and ERP systems, typically over REST APIs, so data from the floor reaches the systems where decisions are made.

Illustrative scenario

Illustrative scenario: a wholesaler with chilled storage

This is an illustrative example, not a client project. It shows how the four stages could apply to a wholesaler with one warehouse, ambient and chilled zones, and a group of shops to supply.

Illustrative example, not a client project

  1. 01

    Connect: tags, sensors and docks

Pallets and high-value lines are tagged, chilled rooms get temperature and door sensors, and dock doors and the main conveyor are connected to a local gateway.

  2. 02

    Collect: every movement recorded

Receipts, moves, picks and dispatches are captured as they happen, alongside storage temperatures and dock activity.

  3. 03

    Understand: stock and conditions together

Software compares recorded stock with expected stock, highlights lines running low or not moving, and shows the temperature history of each chilled room.

  4. 04

    Act: work directed by data

Replenishment is triggered from live stock levels, pickers are directed to the right locations, and the team is alerted when a chilled door is left open.

Outcomes to aim for

Outcomes to aim for

  • Stock you can trust

Records that stay close to what is on the shelf, with fewer surprises at count time.

  • Less manual handling

Repeated checks and data entry replaced by automatic capture.

  • Conditions on record

A continuous temperature and door history for chilled and sensitive goods.

  • One view across sites

Stock, flow and storage conditions visible across warehouses and shops.
